Project Description: We are seeking a qualified freelancer to conduct a security assessment of our Learning Management System (LMS) website. This assessment will involve identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to strengthen the overall security posture of the platform. Tasks: LMS Security Testing: Utilize your expertise to perform a comprehensive security assessment of our LMS website. This includes testing for vulnerabilities like XSS, CSRF, insecure data storage, and insecure third-party integrations specific to LMS functionalities. Tool Proficiency: We require a freelancer familiar with security testing tools like Burp Suite to conduct a thorough analysis of the website's code and functionalities. PII Identification: Identify any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) being sent to third-party services like Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity. Recommend alternative methods for data collection that minimize PII exposure, if applicable. Reporting: Deliver a detailed report outlining the findings of the assessment, including identified vulnerabilities, recommendations for remediation, and potential security risks associated with PII transmission. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in web application security assessments, preferably with LMS platforms Strong understanding of web application security principles (OWASP Top 10) Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Familiarity with Burp Suite and other web application security testing tools Excellent communication and reporting skills Project Duration: This is an estimated 10-hour project.
