I have several thousand XML files of data extracted from a database, each containing between a few dozen and a few thousand lines. I need specific parts of the data extracted into a single csv. A simplified version of the data is attached along with what I would like to see out of it. Note that of the several dozen tags used, only a handful will need to be extracted from each file, though structure could vary between files. If Windows PowerShell is not a viable option for this, I am open to alternatives.

Hi, You'd be much better to use a scripting language for this. Power shell is really just a shell. Relevant Skills and Experience Tons of experience in several scripting languages: PHP, Perl, VBScript, Python... they all the do same thing. Probably the easiest one for this project would be PHP. Proposed Milestones $155 USD - Completion The bid I'm submitting reflects doing the work in a script (such as PHP). I can have the code up and running in a matter of hours, probably in 2 hours time or so (so you'd have the results you need in a couple of hours). You'd just need to let me know what you need extracting from the XML files - which tags, and how you want them indexed in the CSV file. Just send me a message if you have any questions. Thanks, John
