I am looking for someone who has expertise with django tastypie internals and has looked at Python restless ([login to view URL]) to: 1) add an example of basic HTTP authentication to restless whereby it is required that users be authenticated to access a resource based on http method (eg, no authentication for GET is fine). 2) and example of adding filtering and ordering to a restless resource.

Hi, My Name is bayuadji, I'm a django/python developer, I have no experience with restless, but I do have some experience working with tastypie before, we build some mobile applications using tastypie for my previous startup (now it already close), so I'm sorry I can't give you some code example. however here's my proposal: 1. I think this is for prototyping use only (CMIIW), so I'm thinking to make it as simple as possible so that we could develop quickly maybe 1 content model (e.g Post) and list of API e.g: - GET DETAIL - GET LIST - POST - PUT - DELETE for your requirement: 1. for authentication, we should put authentication on all method except GET for basic authentication testing, I think we can use curl for testing e.g curl --basic --user username:password -d "" http://ipaddress/api/v1/ 2. for filtering and ordering, we could make some example in LIST we could filter by author and ordering by id or by date (ASC and DESC) so if you agree on my proposal (very simple one though ;), I'll start to create the applications, and I'll hosted in my own VPS for development and testing, and I try to give you a daily report, although I trying to finish it within 1-2 days. feel free to contact me and discuss more about it thanks
