if you have good prior experience with OCR technologies. We're looking for a simple utility application which will: 1) Receive a JPEG image through as an argument 2) Process it and retrieve data from each image (more info on image contents below). Processing should be able to reasonably handle slight skewing of contents, as well as slight image noise. 3) That's it Details regards the images that are going to be processed: - Usually have a good resolution > 1500px - Although it's the same type of document, the placement data depends on the printer ( So don't always expect to read data at the same position) - We can provide you many examples of theses scanned images if needed. - The letters are a bit pixelated ( very similar to fax machines letters ) Important Details: 1 - It must be implemented in C++ 2 - For now we are using OpenCV and Tesseract, however new suggestions are always welcome. So far, we want to use Tesseract-ocr: [login to view URL] to build this app. However, we are open to suggestions if you have good experience with other OCR tech and it can be embed into an mobile application.
