Need Red Hat Linux text mode program to simply open one of the serial ports (user selects com1, thru 4). and allow ANSI terminal communication over the rs-232 serial port.
This is for PC, x86.
User selects port, baud, byte, parity, flow control (none, xon/xoff, hardware)
MUST COMPILE AT SHELL COMMAND LINE USING ONLY GCC. No third party librarys or the like. Code must be C++.
Menu to set options can be ctrl+M.
This is a simple, straightforward program for Red Hat Linux. I know there are simlar sources out there, but I need a quick complile using GCC without installing any libraries, directory structure etc. Just plain GCC using what comes standard with Linux v8,9. I want to compile and go. Output should be the standard Linux executable .o format.
That's it. This should be a slam dunk for a knowledgeable C++/Linux person.
