here's the situation: we have acquired a system on module running android 5.1 from china. the source code that they are using runs well with their hardware and is proven to work as it is able to boot no problem. however, for our requirements, we are using it for a digital kiosk. so this means we would like to remove certains apps from the original android source code such as messenging, contact lists, home buttons, and so on. the problem is, i cannot seem to compile the given code and hence cannot change anything yet. do you think you could do this? Android 5.1 Customization • Remove unwanted applications such as Phone, Contacts, Messaging • Remove Home and Back Buttons • Remove other unnecessary drivers and bloatware • Launch custom app – [login to view URL] upon boot • Allow for App to be updated remotely (scheduled or otherwise) • Enable Launch and Wake up to Specified App • Customize Boot Screen, Wallpaper, Idle Screen [login to view URL] source code is under A64-Android5.1-SDK > [login to view URL] it will also need to be configured to be running MIPI - 7 inch screen you try compiling first, if that is successful, we can discuss more...
