Hello there. Since it is de-facto standard and I have good experiences with it, I will use VMIME library for your project. The first question is natural then: how would you like to connect the application to the mail server? VMIME supports POP3, IMAP, SMTP, maildir and sendmail protocol for recv. emails. Next q. is what pictures do you want to extract form the emails? JPEG, PNG, GIF,... or do you want to select, or...? How do you want the digest to be composed...?
