VOICE DIALER PROGRAM UPDATE:
We have an Inter-tel APR voice dialer program that we import information (Name, Phone Number, Dates, etc) to using reports we download from our partner insurance companies. These reports can varry in format from csv, xls, or pdf.
We have a custom program, which we import the reports we download from the insurance companies that was created using Visual Basics. This program parses out the data by status and imports into the Voice dialer's access database.. We would like to update this program so we have greater range or options to import more fields from the reports to the access database that the Voice Dialer uses.
Problems: One issue that we ran into was that some of the reports that we download from our insurance company partners do not have the customers phone number in them. The reports do, however, have the customer's name and policy numbers.
Solution: What we want to do is generate a report for all customers information from our Client Management System and then import all the information to a Database table. From there, we can reconfigure our Custom program to look into the database and try to match the data that we import it. If the customer's policy number and name from the report matches the customer's policy number and name in the database table, then use the phone number in the database table and import the information to the access databse that the dialer uses. There should also be a way for us to rerun the import from our Client Management System to keep the most updated records on the database table. If it's possible, we would like to automate this and have it run after hours.
