Something has happened to my customers 2012 Essentials Server. The VPN no longer works correctly. We can connect etc but to browse the shared folders on the server we cannot use the server ip address and all of a sudden we cannot browse when connected even though default gateway has been "unticked" from the vpn client setup. I need someone to share a screen via [login to view URL] and talk me through what could be wrong. Rerunning the wizard doesnt fix it.

Hello, The issue you are experiencing happens mostly due to incorrect route settings on the RRAS server if you are using the 2012 Essentials server for VPN. If VPN solution is different from the 2012 server, then issues are normally related to security/DNS/shares etc. I have worked on setting up a number of VPN solutions on 2012 and earlier versions of Windows server. Can you ping the server IP address once the VPN is connected? Have you checked the routing tables into the server? Have you checked the firewall turned anything ON currently? Have you checked the VPN logs both from your client side and server side? Please take a look into the above and I believe that should point you for an issue. Thanks. Probal
