Note: This is about the open source project OpenCFLite, regarding Apple's CoreFoundation API, specifically the CFNetwork part. This is NOT about Microsoft's ".NET Compact Framework".
The [previous project][1] (part 1) focused on the Server APIs. This one will be for the client APIs. Download my [[login to view URL]][2] project, unzip it in your development directory. This includes my latest CFTest project.
[Install Bonjour][3] (print services, or the SDK) for Windows.
1) Open the file "Projects/CFTest/win_vs/[login to view URL]".
2) In the "Solution Explorer", select "CFTest", right click it and pick "Properties", go to "configuration properties->debugging", set it to "$(SolutionDir)build\CFTest [login to view URL]\Contents\Windows\$(TargetFileName)".
3) open the file "[login to view URL]"
4) find 'kTest_Bonjour'
5) set ALL test #defines to '1' (you may skip 'telnet' and 'server', since they work)
6) Now build and run.
7) your output should match the file "[login to view URL]" (bonjour services you have on your network may vary, but you must see the 'CFTest' service on both IPv4 and IPv6)
Project MUST remain compatible with Visual Studio 2008.
All additions to the project (extra source files, libraries) shall be documented in full on [the public wiki page][4].
## Deliverables
You may use any required 3rd party libraries (eg: boost-asio), provided they are freely distributable, or fall under an LGPL or similar license, and are included in the final project.
please use STL where you can. Please ONLY use Win32 API calls, no "dotnet" library dependencies
