Hi, I've written tons of web scrapers in the past. They're mostly straightforward, but you can encounter problems if the site has anti-scraping measures in place (e.g. request throttling and so on). I'd really need to see the website that needs scraping before I can give any real estimate, but this quote shouldn't be too far off the mark. Would you be able to link me to the site you need to scrape (and indicate what data needs scraping?). By the way, I'd write the scraper in PHP - unless you absolutely must have it in Python - development time would be much quicker (I can usually deliver PHP scraper scripts within 24 hours or less, unless the site to be scraped is a mess).
