Actually I want a a plugin for WordPress that will allow me to charge visitors to continue reading posts but not disrupt SEO. Here are the requirements:
When a visitor arrives at my blog they can see an entire post but after 30 seconds an overlay appears and the content is covered using lightbox. Within this overlay instructions will say "To continue reading this content and other posts on the site now please donate $0.25 using PayPal, Google Checkout or Amazon Payments. In one hour the post will be unlocked and you can continue reading for free." A timer needs to be shown for one hour, so if they wait an hour the post is unlocked, but if they pay they can read that post and every other post (this unlock lasts five days).
At this point the user can either hit back and leave the site, wait an hour for the timer to run down or pay the $0.25 fee which will bring them back to the page to continue reading. They will also be able to view every other post on the site for free after that (for five days).
The point of this plugin is to get people who want to keep reading immediately to pay a little fee but it cannot disrupt SEO, it also should not be fail-proof, if a user really wants to get around it that's fine, but the idea is that it reminds them to donate in a polite way and then makes it easy
to keep reading on the site.
Key goals here: make sure the user is returned to the post if they pay, make payment simple and painless, make sure SEO isn't disrupted because that's where much of my traffic comes from, google and other search engines should not be cut off from content.
So basically it would be the timer (I could set the time in a backend but it would popup after 30 seconds and count down for 30 minutes) and ask the user to donate an amount (let's start at $0.50 USD but I could adjust this in the backend) and then the five day cookie to let them return.
Bid only if have unerstood and confident to deliver.
