That's doable, however: Which exact sbc will be used? Rpi has uboot flahsed, so it has some defaults regarding spash screen, which is quite tricky to change. In contrary, opi and, i suppose, bpi do not have bundled bootloader, and uboot is taken direclty from sd/flash, so all splash screens could be amended within kernel/init
