I worked as MySQL consultant helping medium to big companies with performance and scalability problems. I will need to see your provider's email (to understand which problems did they detect) and I will need access to your panel and/or application. If they provide slow query log and a monitoring solution, those things will be useful. If the problem is unclear, I will probably need to talk to your provider to find out what happened. Once the problem is found, I will suggest configuration changes (if your hosting allows this), or I will build new indexes. If an application needs to be modified, I will work with you to solve the problem - but modifying the code will not be part of my job (it could require a long analysis, or it could be written with technologies that I don't know).
