I have an application that runs on Codeignitor and MySQL and lists publications. For each publication there are authors (using a bridging table with a many to many relationship). At the moment, authors are simply linked but not ranked. However, it is important for me to know which author is the first author, second and ect. Order is important. So, I need someone to adjust it so that it remembers the order of the selection. Authors are selected using a CHOSEN Multiselect box. Would be great if we can stick with this. Thanks!

Alternatively, the best option would be for me to be able to take a look at the system and apply some authors to a publication to test myself.
