Features: user creates account (username, pw, email address) once account is verified via email, the user can then access the user settings which will allow them to import an opml file (pretty standard) as well as update their pw or email address (again has to be verified) Eventually there will be a more settings inside this panel but that is for next phase. import rss feeds using the opml file format ability to import starred file from google reader ability to star items like google reader I want the simplicity of google reader (left side shows feeds, right side shows the news title) (ability to show only new items or all items) We need an open api for people to create clients or tie into the api Use a threaded cronjob to grab all the news feeds however, if 5 people have the same feed, the script only needs to grab it once. I plan on running the cron job every 30 minutes and will be able to run as many spiders as needed. This will be a long term project as more features will be added that I have but I need to get the base done first I would like this completed in 1 week to get the base done
