Website speed optimization - Needed

I'll get straight to the point, I need to get my website optimize to decrease the loading time and for faster access to the pages. My website is build entirely by template so that makes things easier to optimize. I've compress my images and tweak some of the apache setting to speedup the loading time but still it was not much of a effect. I need: -Combine files into libraries(CSS & javascripts) -For images: use the CSS sprite technique -Use the Expires and cache-control max age headers for all pages -Optimize website template for speed -Reduce the number of http request I believe this is quite a simple task for any professional webmaster, and my request for the project must be complete within one day.
