Small Blog/News Website

This project is to design a blog style website. You can use javascript or php only if neccessary, these two features are generally not required and should be avoided if possible. The website is called [login to view URL] This is short for "Undercover Investigations" The purpose of this website is to allow members of the public to post stories and pictures (up to 5)(optional) of their own personal investigations. For example a housewife may post an account of following her husband around for a day to see if he is having an affair, with pictures posted as well so she can shame him. There must be a private login area for me where I can view and approve material that has been submitted. Also I can delete old material that has been on the website for a long time from here. If users want to sign up they must submit, first name, second name, country (from drop down list), e-mail, confirm e-mail. A confirmation code is then sent to their e-mail which they must enter to become memebers. From their member area they can submit new material for my approval. The name of the person and their e-mail address must be displayed in their member area. There must be different categories, i.e. Community investigations, Family Investigations, Investigation of Friends, Random! Investigations, Personal Investigations and an option to add other investigations categories from my login area. On the home page there must be The title "Undercover Investigations" and an appropriate graphic logo (no photos please). Also there must be a list of Categories, the option to become a member, member login box where they can enter their email and password to sign in. There must also be an area towards the centre that displays the last few items that have been submitted and approved to be shown on the website, which are hyperlinked to the blog page. Each individual blog page must have a hit counter. There must be 2 automatic templates/unique website designs for the blog: 1. one design where only text and no images have been submitted 2. one design where only images and text have been submitted At the bottom of every page on this website there must be copyright notice. There must also be a link to a page that displays a contact form, where users can submit queries, comments and suggestions to my private area on the website. The private area must allow me to delete cmessages that I choose to delete, and view their e-mail addresses. My private area must also allow me to upload images or banners to the bottom of every page on the website. However if there are no advertisers present there must be feature that allows me to disable the banner from appearing from the bottom of all the pages. This website must be able to be viewed in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Opera, Netscape Navigator, Firefox and other browsers. Hint* Try to keep the website simple and proffessional looking like [login to view URL] but do not feel that you must sopy this or make the website the same as this. Try to make it original.
