Hi,
I have a Java applet that I want to be translated to Flash. The source of the Java applet is attached. The applet is used to zoom images, it can be seen here: <[login to view URL]>
The applet does not perform the zooming itself. It communicates with an image-server. The applet sends the X and Y coordinates, the width and height, and the zoom level, and the server then extracts the image and sends it to the applet via http. All the applet does is receive mouseclicks, and calculate the appropriate X coordinate, Y coordinate, and zoom level. The flash applet needs to do the same, and additionally add ‘movement’ in zooming, in the same way as <[login to view URL]>. The ‘movement’ must be done in the background while the new image is being loaded from the server.
