Return RECT based on keyboard cursor

I need a VB6 program or C++ DLL that will return the rect coordinates of the area that has focus based where the keyboard cursor not the mouse. So if I am typing in notepad the program should return the rect of the edit area. The rect coordinates need to be left, top, right and bottom. I need these values to be returned when a user presses return or tab. Also if the area that has focus is not where the cursor is I then need focus to set to that location. 1. Create a VB6 Program or a C++ DLL that will return the rect values of left, top, right and bottom based on where the cursor is. 2. The values should be returned to a VB label as the user is typing. 3.
