We are looking for a very good ASP.NET coder to provide advice on using Global.asax.
We have a large number of both .ASPX and .HTML files on our server. We wish to use the [login to view URL] file to INTERCEPT the delivery of the .HTML files and essentially change links in that HTML page.
Here's how we intend to do it:
--> Change all the extension of all .HTML to .ASPX, so they get caught by [login to view URL]
--> In the [login to view URL] BeginRequest event, write code to somehow load the requested page, change links as appropriate, then send down to user
There are numerous ways of achieving this, however the core goal remains the same. We wish to INTERCEPT with ASP.NET and change links on a page.
We would also like to be able to set a cookie on the users machine in BeginRequest, to track which links were changed to ensure they are changed again next time.
We do not own the server and merely have a hosting account, so can't do anything wizzy with the machine.
This bid is for advice, and possibly sample code. If you can demonstrate how this should be done, professionally, you get the bid! PERSONAL PROJECT -- No crazy bids please.
