Hi - I would like to collaborate with a developer/developers/agency to create an iPad2 and iPhone4 app. The concept is to develop an Ipad2 application that allows video chat, much like the native Facetime application (but not using Facetime) on the iPad2 but with a very minimal social layer on top to allow people to easily connect with one another. It will connect people based on location and allow them to chat in realtime. From what I understand, the latest iOS provides a video streaming layer than can connect and stream video directly between two devices without any middleware or 3rd party streaming services. The interface is designed by me and I can provide visuals when you contact me ahead of being chosen for this project. It will be relatively simple with the main UI being a globe that will pinpoint where people are located (user-selected-location). A user will then be able to spin the globe and browse all the pins and by selecting a pin, can see who is available for a chat in this location. They can then select a person which will bring up a video chat. This is about connecting people together in a very slick, simple interface. There would also be the ability to 'friend' someone, and you would therefore be alerted to whenever that friend comes online. Which means the app will need to allow people to signup and will need a backend to track accounts and basic account activity. This backend will also need to allow me to 'delete' users. My expectation is of high quality and I don't want time wasters or people inexperienced with iPad or iPhone development. Please see attached .doc for more details!
