We are looking for a developer/programmer who can build an APP to detect certain types of food intolerance's from start to finish. (more details to be provided once we secure the developer) The APP requires barcode scanning technology, mainly to be used at supermarkets. When APP user goes to supermarket, scans relevant barcode, the app should be able to detect if that particular food item is safe to consume for this individual. The result can be a red/green light. We see this app working like the below Home screen: Visually, there will see a traffic light type symbol to start us off when app is opened. The user then has the option to scan the relevant barcode of the food item that he/she wishes to purchase. Once barcode is scanned, the result is a green = ok to consume or red = NOT ok to consume. There will also be an option to substitute what’s not ok to consume with another food type. Eg. when box of cereal is scanned and the person cannot consume this food group (red light) a suggestion to consume oats as an alternative comes up. When scanned barcode is unable to detect the food item a search bar should show up for user to type in the food item/ food group. eg. an apple or a banana might/not have a barcode on it for it to be typable. We are looking for a long term relationship. Ideally you will have created similar apps with similar technology and functionality The winning freelancer will be a part of many higher profile projects moving forward. We need someone that can: - be flexible - be available via email 24 hours per day with a less than 1 hour response rate - legally source pictures/sounds/icons/button designs for the development of app - create/develop/code/design app so that it passes all regulations/standards to be published on iTunes store

Hi, My EDT and price are not final until you provide more details, mainly: how I'm going to compare/check barcode data with ? iOS has nice support for bar/QR codes so scanning isn't a problem. While concept of app is cool there's "few" details missing, another big one is: without some data about users health how you'll going to decide what is good/bad for him/her to eat? Please don't get me wrong- I've no problem creating some flashing GUI as long as my name isn't associated with something that's practically useless. Regards, Zeljko J.

Based on my experience in iOS development, I can do this job for you. It should be considered to create a user profile with the intolerances that the user has. To be flexible it would be created a web service that can update the app con new barcodes, products and the intolerance it can produce. I have over 50 apps in Appstore and consider myself as expert in iOS development.
