Hi Im a mechanical engineer, I've worked on a similar situation before but on a small time plane where I had to adhere to the forces apllied to the objoct and still remove as mush material as I possibly could from the plane fuselage. My method for going with the project is going to be removing material adding minumum amount of structural integrity to the object testing it on solidworks simulation, doing iterations of different internal structures for the object and then doing the simulations again. I will obey by the safety factor of 2 and try to get stress of the object as close to that level as I could. Doing the iteration of a design would take some time though.
