Hi I could compile this code as OpenWRT based codes are not hard to compile. As for NAND flash I would do everything that can be done from a software. If there is not a hardware fault it is fixable. To find a common ground and speed up the development, please answer the questions below: 1) Is the firmware image compatible to your access point? 2) Does NAND storage have other problems other than formatting? I've worked a lot with the routers and the OpenWrt system, I have some questions: - what does that app do? could it be replaced with another one from the Owrt repository? - what's the router model? I worked with the device that has both NAND and NOR devices and the dual-flash technology - could it be better and easier (and more stable) to use the OpenWrt image, maybe the custom one?

These tasks are very dependent on your CPE architecture and the way you want to do things, looking at the repo code it must be doable without much of a hassle but for the second part more insight is needed and if feasible it will end up a bit more expensive than you mentioned. however we even might be able to find a workaround for that as well.
