Blackberry OS mobile developer

We are an exciting young startup, designing and building intelligent mobile software and hardware! Working on both our own projects and projects for our existing client base, we are seeking enthusiastic programmers to augment our team on a contract basis. All candidates must: - Have experience developing applications for the BLACKBERRY OS (RIM) using Java - Be familiar with mobile platforms and their capabilities as an end user - Have 5+ years professional software development experience in a C or Java based language (Java, ObjectiveC, C#, C++, etc) - Be familiar with design patterns and general object oriented design - Have excellent problem solving and communication skills - Be a team player - Have a strong desire to create useful mobile applications - Have an academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electricial Engineering - Have a very low tolerance for low-quality code - Be disciplined, and able to work remotely with minimal supervision - Be able to hit deadlines The ideal candidate will: - Have DEVELOPED APPLICATIONS FOR A BLACKBERRY - Have 7+ years professional development experience with C or some derivative thereof - Have participated in the creation of high-quality iPhone, Android, or Blackberry Apps currently on an app store - Have intermediate level familiarity with Objective-C and be familiar with several mobile platforms - Be familiar with creating custom views - Be familiar with network protocols The rockstar will have - DEVELOPED MOBILE APPLICATIONS FOR A RIM BLACKBERRY including low-level network coding - Experience working on embedded software - Experience writing firmware - Understand low level communication protocols - Knowledge of Apple's External Accessory Framework
