[login to view URL] is an existing website that allows Sailors and other Water sport enthusiasts to use GPS and Cellular connected devices to track their events so spectators can watch the racing live. We here at [login to view URL] want to extend on the tools that are offered in our website, so we are looking for a developer who is interested to further develop our 2D race viewer. The current site is built using Javascript, Backbone, CSS and HTML5. You will be require to learn and understand the current code base and develop tools for the users on top of the existing application. It would be ideal if you had some knowledge of Sailing and especially how regatta racing works. Please go to [login to view URL] and view this race. You will be required to add functionality to this viewer that will allow the viewer to see a list of the current race order, ie who is currently winning this race. The tools will include a race administrator view, where the administrator will be able to manually specify key elements in the race such as race start time and order of buoy navigation. There will also be a general viewer mode that will just show a start countdown clock and a leader board.
