I am looking for a unique, stand out piece of art to be my flagship design for a new line of pants (trousers). This is a startup, so there are some initial constraints: it needs to be a continuous pattern so that it can be cut and joined any direction, relatively simple to begin with (so preferably without many tiny lines due to the nature of the fabric and bleed) and it would be best in two or three colours only to begin with - ideally . These constraints are somewhat negotiable for a fantastic design as the art comes first. The ethical philosophy behind the line is a win/win for all involved - the environment (sustainable fabric), customer, manufacturer, artists and me. I am at the starting point with this, so I am yet to settle on a firm plan for paying the artists; it will likely end up being commission based however I am willing to pay an additional fee up front for a great flagship design.

Hi there. This sounds like a great project, especially the part about sustainable fabric, and I would really like to be involved. From your project description I believe you are asking for pattern based designs? I would love to discuss this further with you as that leaves a lot open to interpretation, and I love to get a little more clarification about the style of art you'd like, and just to chat about the details of the job in general. As it stands I believe that I can deliver you some kick ass pattern based artwork, and I like to work closely with clients allowing them to provide me with feedback on my designs as I'm working on them. This way the client gets to be involved in the creative process as well. This doesn't have to be how I work, as I am quite capable of working on my own, so you can choose how you'd like to play it. Also if you like what I do then I am definitely open to the possibility of future work. At any rate, please feel free to get into contact with me, There's a bunch of my artwork in Freelancer portfolio, however I don't think any of it is relevant to what you are looking for though, so perhaps to sweeten the deal for you I could whip up a quick mock up to demonstrate my ability to preform the type of art you are looking for.
