Hi, for the airfoil, we will need to identify if it utilizes high lift surfaces such as flaps or slats, a very fine mesh elements will be generated near the airfoil surface to caputre the boundary layer effects, we may also opt for polyhedral elements type. The turbulence model is dependent on the air flow speeds and the reynolds number, this is to be discussed before executing the simulation. We may also do mesh convergence test to check if the Cl/Cd coeffiecients are converfing to a fixed value with fine mesh or not.
