We have a small construction company: We want to have the best reporting of all small construction companies in Iceland. I have few tasks, but I want to try to find the right person to work with going forward, this will be a long term relationship. First task will be to retrieve data from API to PowerBi in structured tables and create reports as well. Like I said, I need someone who can take the data, structure it and connect it to powerbi so than an unexperienced person can create reports. Addition would be to have nice look on the reporting and the overview of the powerbi. This is the API: [login to view URL] Since I am looking for a long-term relationship, please tell me 1. Hello Sir/Madam, I have extensive IT and programming experience including a number of integrations projects of which this clearly is one. I would approach t in the following way: 1) Extract the data from the API. 2) Reformat it for input into PowerBI in accordance with your requirements for the analytical data you need to obtain from PowerBI. 3) Optionally, create some sort of a middleware solution - i.e., a layer in between the API and Power BI where you would get to see the data out of the API, modify it, etc. Please respond so we can discuss the details. I m basicall an IT professional worked Datawarehouse domain. I had an opportunity to work on extraction, reporting, creating flashy dashboards using various ETL and Business Intelligence tools. Even i have created prebuilt dashboards so that we can plug and play in realtime. Approach for your task. 1. First i would see what kind of data is it 2. What are you KPIs to be seen on the dashboard or in reports. 3. See whether data related to reporrs available in the API 4. Make sure the meradata or business definition same. 5. Bring out or extract commin metadata into reports 6. Give meaning to data and create prebuilt reports adhoc reports so that 3rd also can create reports. Let me know your feedback. Thx.

Hai there, Im an expert as data analyst and your project detail is mutual as my previous project. my plan to approach the task is, im going to generate your API's data in your website and save it as database file. after that, im going to clean and transformation your data using MySQL and import it to CSV file. Since the data already saved into csv file, im going to connect the csv file at Power BI apps and start to build some interactive dashboard. Whenever you want to change your data or input the other information into your data, you just need to fiil it at excel and the dashboard will be change as soo as the data was upgraded

Hello, I have read the job posting clearly and I believe I could fit in what you are looking for. As an introduction, I’m a Civil Engineer turned Data Analyst who loves building dashboards and presenting data in a way that drives fact-based decision-making. Currently, I am working as a Data Analyst in an I.T company that offers business solution services. Also, I work as a part-timer on visualizing data on PowerBI for a well-known pharmaceutical company in Egypt. I design, analyze, and improve KPIs for projects which help the business monitor trends and identify improvement areas. My Approach to your project will be as follow: 1- Data will be retrieved from harvest API to Google sheets using API connector extension. 2- By adding harvest Id to API Connector extension, data will be imported to Google sheets. 3- Google sheets will act as a SharePoint for PowerBI. 4- PowerBI will be connecting to Google sheets as a SharePoint as mentioned above to start reporting and building dashboards. Actually, I don't have the knowledge of working with Harvest API's, My approach is based on simple search for the project requirements. I am willing to work on this project as I have a construction/management engineering background and at the same time I work as a data analyst which would be an advantage. Hey, I hope you are doing good. I am really interested in the project posted by you. I have spend around 3 years working for startups in the Data Domain. Since, I have worked majorly in Startups and in small teams, I have experience around different sub domains in Data like Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Data Visualisation, Data Science etc. The project posted by you is majorly of Data Engineering and I have good experience around it. I have experience around building data warehouses to power business reports and dashboards and scaling them as the data volume increases. I have worked for Unicorn startups which provide very rapidly changing environment. Your project can be both simple and complicated as it depends on the Data. PowerBI does has an inbuilt feature that we can use to get data from the API but the same is not recommended for complex and huge volumes of data. If it can't be fulfilled by this direct connection, I will have to add a middle layer like a Python Script. I will have to do a RCA to finalise my approach as I would want the system to be stable for future. I am looking forward to hearing from you and working with you. Regards, Aditya
