We need a Building Surveyor / Small Projects Manager

Optimo is a specialist multi-disciplinary construction consultancy company, providing high-end services to exclusive clients. Covering Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Employers Agent, and Health & Safety, we operate across the mainstream sectors, specialising in mixed-use / commercial office, and super-prime residential. The owners also have a pipeline of their own development projects across the UK and in South America, which will require your expertise. We have numerous long-term construction projects predominantly within central London, including large scale projects and roll-out project portfolios in conjunction with the Client’s Asset Management Team. We require a Building Surveyor to join our team to primarily manage the roll-out projects. You will also be involved in the larger projects working alongside the Owners / Directors. The role will be interesting and varied, within this fast moving industry. You will be involved in high profile central London projects, for exclusive clients. You will ideally be RICS qualified, educated to degree standard and/or have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Building Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor / small Projects Manager or similar-type role. You can have use of our office in Berkeley Square, Mayfair, however you will also be attending external meetings and on site a lot of the time. Your role will involve liaising and negotiating with contractors, suppliers, and clients, so you must be polite, yet confident and assertive. You must be impeccably presented, have excellent English language skills, and be entirely competent in written reporting and following protocols. You must have excellent skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook. We are open to a part-time freelancer, part-time employee, or full-time employee. It’s more important to get the right person. Salary would be circa £50,000 per annum, or negotiable for part-time or freelancer. We would also welcome Junior, Graduate or Assistant Building Surveyors to apply, and we will help to develop your skills while delivering exceptional projects.
