Hello: I have more than 20 years of experience using CAD software applied to mechanical industrial design. There are two ways to do this job: 1st- that the jpg image has dimensions, then the CAD drawing will be very precise. 2º- that the jpg image does not have dimensions, then the CAD drawing will have a precision closely linked to the resolution of the image because in this case the image is placed as a background in the CAD software and the lines are drawn on the image reference (like making a tracing on transparent paper). The precision obtained in the CAD will be more or less relevant if respectively the image to be converted is an object, a residence or a piece of land. Likewise, to represent flat things (land, floor plan of buildings, etc.) a single image is enough; But to represent 3D objects it will be necessary to have images from different orthogonal views to deduce their geometry.
