I need an expert ASP.NET developer to help me enhance/complete a complex but small (in terms of number of users) site.
Initially I want a developer to work on a specific extension to the system that will probably involve javascript to create a user interface
## Deliverables
The system I have created for my customer is live and proving very valuable to them but needs a lot more work to complete it.
I am looking for a developer to work on providing a specific function that is missing from the site, but in the future there will be many more enhancements.
Very briefly, here is a description of the site:
The site allows a company (my client) to create quotations for work.
The work is to build mezzannine floors.
A mezzannine floor is a steel structure that consists of columns and beams.
The structure is used for office space/storage/retail etc, whatever the end user requires.
The function that is required now is as follows:
In most cases the columns that support the structure are placed at regular intervals. (This is usually the cheapes way to build the structure), however, sometimes this is not possible.
I have created a method of allowing the dimensions of the structure to be variable i.e. not all the columns are positioned at regular intervals.
The function required is to provide an interface via the website that allows the dimensions to be edited. Editing is currently done via a desktop application that connects to the database but this requires the user to move between the application and the website and this is not ideal!
The application allows the user to specify the gap between each column and takes care of adjusting the remaining gaps (as one gap increases the other gaps shrink). It also handles locking gaps so that you can set multiple gaps and have the remaining space allocated.
It also allows the user to specify areas between columns that are not to have any flooring (for example a lift shaft in the centre of the structure). This is done by a toggle action.
The best way to understand this function would be to see it running in the application. I can send source code for this application which is written in VB 6.

I have prepared a VB6 project (source code) and a cut down version of the database that it connects to as a demonstration of the functionalty I require to be incorporated into the website. I was hoping to upload this zip file to this project but I can't see a way to do that? If there is no way to do this I will send messages to interested parties and attach the zip file. I will do this as soon as possible. David
