English/ Hamlet analyze relationships between characters (5-7 pages)

Analyze love relationships in one of the works we have read, or compare them in two works, to interpret the role of love in challenging, overcoming, transforming social boundaries created by prejudice (clarify what boundary/ies you are discussing: national, ethnic, racial, religious, class, gender, sexual). Consider, for example, Antigone and Haemon, Sidi and Lakunle or Baroka, Lutie and Boots, Margaret and Chacko, Ammu and Velutha. How does such prejudice shape erotic desire, whether for members of “one’s own” group or across taboos”? How does love affect one’s identity? Does love enable people to transcend these boundaries, as individuals, for others in their cultures, or both? Whatever your topic, your paper should: • be 5-7 pp. long • incorporate a minimum of 4 secondary sources into your argument • include proper MLA format for both in-text citations and your bibliography When integrating secondary sources, remember that these do not “prove” your argument but rather provide another source of evidence for your own argument. When you incorporate secondary sources, you must explain why you include another critic’s interpretation and why you agree, disagree, or use the critic’s argument as a building block in your own, adding your own additional evidence or providing new insight into the evidence your source uses.
