Advice needed on Server Infrastructure upgrade Current setup: Dell PE 1900 w2k3 std x32 AD Raid 1 Dell PE 1900 w2k3 std x64 Exchange 2k7 Raid 1 Dell PE 2900 w2k3 std x64 SQL Server 2005 Raid 10 SAS Dell PE 2900 w2k3 std x32 Terminal Services Raid 1 Approx 70 PCs, 50% at same location as servers, 50% spread over 4 other remote locations Web proxy is Squid running on AD Spam/AV is McAfee hosted solution Backup is BE - LTO2 Tape drives in Exch and SQL - AD and TS backup to SQL WAN/Routers/Central Firewall provided by WAN provider Exch and TS are overloaded AD and SQL are underloaded Wanted: Solve overloading issue Web access control/reporting/malware protection -software, appliance, linux? Better AV Disaster recovery - spare server(s)? Any benefits in moving some/all to 2k8 x64? Virtualisation? Which provider? What do we need to buy? PC Backup? Move storage off servers to SAN or similar? ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Please advise
