Create an apple final cut plugin or standalone app to automate simple but repetitive timeline workflow

Your task will be to write a plugin for apple final cut pro or standalone app that will perform the following task : -Ask user for which video to perform the task -on the user-designed tracks, isolate the first frame from every clip, perform a freezeframe (shift-N), add this frozen frame from the end of previous clip to begining of clip the freeze frame was performed on. -repeat the process for every clip on that track. Must work for Final cut 6.x and 7.x
