Delphi - API hooks project

We have the source code of an API system wide hook written in Delphi 7 entirely. This is used by another program that allows the user to allow/deny access to certain system resources (through the API hook). Currently the code works, but it has some problems: 1) Windows 98 support requires some patching of the hook DLL, we need to bypass this somehow. 2) Sometimes the program using the hook crashes and takes the system down with it. 3) Hook misses small functionality (e.g. when hooking system registry APIs, we need to show the old value in the registry and the new value an external program is attempting to write to that location). We need somebody with skills and experience to: 1) Make the hook stable under all 32-bit Windows versions. 2) Adapt the program we have (that is using the hook) to be very stable. 3) Correct any bugs found in the hook source code and make it work (with the same hook DLL preferably) under both Windows 98 and NT (2000/XP) and be VERY stable. 4) Add missing functionality to the hook system. We need to show in the program using the hook the old value (e.g. of a registry key) and the new value a program attempts to write (e.g. to that registry key), and prompt the user to allow/deny the overwrite. We will provide the winning bider complete source code of the hook system and the program using the hook. Please post your questions about the project and we will provide the complete project details to those interested. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform All Windows versions, starting with Windows 98 (Windows 95 support is optional, but is a plus if it can mantain compatibility).
