I have a bash script that logins to the weblogic admin console and what it greps for is to see if the instances are in a suspended, shutdown, unknown state. If any of the instances are in those states the script sends an email to the appropriate users.
What I need to do is add a few parameters to the existing script to tell it to bypass (or use if) the instances I want to for the script to overlook.
Example:-
instance 1
instance 2
instance 3
instance 4
instance 5
I will disable instance 2 and 5 therefore it will be in either suspended, shutdown, unknown state. I purposely shutdown instance 2 and 5 so what I want is the script to ignore instance 2 and 5 and look at instance 1,3,4 and send me email if instance 1,3,4 are in suspended, shutdown, unknown state.
Aside from this I will also want a description of what each line of the script does from top to bottom.
