I need someone to develop and/or port a digital camera device driver interface and display to a Linux environment, specifically ubuntu, for an iMx53 evaluation board. I also require addition of some image processing filters and processing to the software, and I will provide that source code. I will provide the camera detail and iMx53 evaluation board (MCIMX53-START-R) and environment upon contract award to the winning bid. If you already have this board, state that in your response and will not provide it, and your proposal will be adjusted for the cost differential prior to evaluation. I would like this in a week or two or so if possible. It uses the existing camera interface on the iMx53 part. Please clearly state your experience, and ability to perform this. I require high quality deliverable code, with instructions for installation and use. It must be 100% operational, 100% tested and 100% bug free or else the final payment will not be made. I will pay 20% upon acceptance of the contract, 20% more after delivery of the initial prototype code (that may be partially completed or still have development issues left), 20% more after delivery of the 2nd and hopefully final code release, and 40% upon delivery and acceptance of the final source and executable code delivery, with written installation, operation, and control parameters instructions and use documentation. This could lead to a more long term relationship if successful.
Hello my friend, I do not have the board and never used it before but I have worked with similar ones. I have also good hands on experience using both parallel and serial camera sensors. Since it is only a software matter I think I can do it for you quickly. Please let me know if you are interested.
Hi, I've written device drivers for linux and qnx in the past; and currently I'm working with iMX6 on ubuntu. My estimate will be 2 weeks. And I'll deliver quality code and instructions. Please check out my profile or ask me an question if you like.
I had a few questions, you said develop or port the driver, which is it and if you want to port, do you have the source code? Also, does your iMx53 eval board has a custom ubuntu running on it?
Dear Project Owner,
I am the CEO of Deep Thought Systems, a company in India specializing in embedded systems development. We have a team of 10 experienced engineers. We have hardware design and firmware development capabilities. This is an interesting project and falls within the capabilities of our team.
We did a camera driver development for an embedded linux project very recently. It was for a car black box based on Telechips EVB reference board that is based on the TCC8926 media processor. We developed camera driver and integrated with the Linux OS for the Partron make C3300i camera generating color video images of YUV. (BTW, this was not done through Freelancer, but through a direct contact and hence you will not find our reference here.)
We can deliver this in 2 week's time after getting the development board and environments from you. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks and regards
Anand
Hi check my portfolio. i am expert in Linux in multimedia domain. I have worked on various TI davinci SoCs, Sitara SoCs and Omap mobile platform SoCs. I worked on Qualcomm's snapdragon board. I have also experince in H.264 encoding/decoding. Hands on experience in porting camera sensor drivers and recently ported Omnivison's camera sensor and experience in V4L2 linux subsystem. Let discuss more and finalize this project.
I am a new freelancer. But I have vast experience in software development (13 years) and hardware development (7 years). I have experience in driver development on both linux and windows platforms. I have worked with USA based gloabal companies like HP and Motorola in the past.
I would need complete documentation and datasheet of the camera in case you award the project to me. I do not have the evaluation board. I will try to find out if it is locally available here for purchase. Otherwise, you will have to send it to me. How much does it cost?
Regards,
Jitesh
