I have started a writing website for essays. My WordPress theme forces me to have a drop-down menu on the top, whereas I want to have a permanent menu on the top with buttons (using my own graphics for the buttons). More specifically, I would like to have a header image/site logo with buttons beside it for the different sections. And if possible, I would like my header image to have a transparent background so that it fits in with the site background seamlessly. Finally, I also want to make some small changes to the theme, such as to the font of the date of publication, which I cannot right now change.
