Note: this project is for concept and strategy phase only - that's why I'm budgeting small - no finished design necessary; just a concept sketch and answers to high-level questions on design and cost trade-offs; followup work on full production-ready design will be determined after finishing concept and strategy phase. Product improvement is another goal, especially better weather resistance Must use SolidWorks 2013 in English Features for consideration Splash resistant Mounting insert feature wall mounting or stand mounting 3 buttons Menu, down (-), up (+) Silicone keypad or other water resistant alternative 4 jacks – located on front/bottom such that controller can sit on table or hang/mount vertically near smoker DC in, 2.1mm ID barrel female Fan output, 2.5mm ID barrel dc jack 2 temperature probes, 2.5mm mono headphone jack Inserted clear lens for 2 line x 16 char LCD – 20x68mm aperture Modern professional styling Marking for buttons and jacks Marking for branding Product ID label Allow 6-7 sq inches on PCB for circuit/non-mating parts Help select parts mating with enclosure: 4 jacks, LCD, buttons Character LCD 2 lines x 16 character, parallel interface Prefer tactile buttons 2-piece, top and bottom Boss and pin design to hold PCB without screws 4 threading screws to fasten top and bottom Jacks recessed for splash resistance Input files available 3D models of the jacks are available from the manufacturers I found an LCD model that looks like the one we selected; dimensions just need to be verified and maybe modified.

Hello , i have more than 6 years experience in the plastic parts design industry and plastic mold design , i can design the plastic parts using NX, Solidworks , Autodesk inventor providing all assembly drawing ,and checking mold-ability of t plastic parts i can design the required molds using NX moldwizard or Imold software considering all plastic parts design considerations (wall thickness , ribs, fillets and radii , shrinkage factors ....etc) if you provide more information regarding the polymer material and injection machine i can simulate the injection process regarding mold filling , packing , cooling and warpage using moldflow or moldex3D to ensure the sounds of the molds

Hello I am a drafter designer with over 20 years of experience most of which is in the mechanical/electrical fields. I have a bachelors of engineering in Mechanical engineering and full access to auto desk inventor and solid works with over 10 years experience with both. I also have Autocad 2013. I have used Autocad in 2D and 3D for over 20 years. This looks like a very straight forward but challenging project that would be a lot of fun to design.I have developed many enclosures over the years for may different applications and i also was involved in sourcing materials and suppliers for those enclosures. I also love to BBQ so working on this project would be a big bonus for me as well!
