We are a university with multiple large SQL DBs. We manage our databases at the basic level with user management [login to view URL] do not have the skills to do much "under the bonnet" work including performance tuning. We also move a lot of data between MS and Linux and have some performance issues here. We are looking to build a relationship with a freelancer with a day or two a month after a first block of work to help us improve the general operation of the databases and our skillsets. The budget below would be a daily rate.
