From your description, I understand that you are trying to create a twist on the jack-o-lantern candy bucket that will provide light and potentially other features. The deliverable will be a mock-up of the design, to be used to create a refined prototype, and could also include sketches or initial CAD models. I have around 3 years of experience in different areas of consumer product design and development. Initially, I would set up a meeting to understand more about your intended goal. After generating some sketches, refining with your feedback, I would create a mock-up using available materials (i.e., not 3D printing).
