Wordpress site fonts doesn't reflect style.css file definition

When I inspect an element on the browser it shows a font-family: Tahoma, serif. Following the links on the browser I identify the line in [login to view URL] file. Changing and updating the file to "Open Sans", serif in [login to view URL], doesn't have impact on browsing site. When I inspect an element and follow the link I still find [login to view URL] with font-family: Tahoma, serif.
