Prototype of a holder for a variety of writing refills - biro, rollerball etc whose calibre is in the range of 4.5 to 7 mm. The affixing of the holder by a refill may be by clutch or clamp action. The point of the refill will be 'free' thereby ensuring a uniform interior calibre or bore throughout the holder. Similarly the refill may be permitted to extend out further than the holder. The holder in use and appearance therefore is a low-cost pocket 'clamp' for a writing refill as a handy purse, wallet of pocket device that does not cost or consume space.
