You should upgrade your Canon SDK used by your application source code. In my review your Canon Rebel T5 requires Canon EDSDK 2.15. So, by modifying some parts of code and upgrading the libraries by using this SDK, it will work for your new camera. Let me review your source code for determining what Visual Studio version you are using. I have already installed: Visual studio 2010, 2013, and 2015 version.
