Here is my clear and simple proposal. 1. implement javascript snippet in the php file. 2. set timer by setInerval function in JavaScript to check if data received at specified interval. 3. if data is detected, sent post or get request to handle data based on your purpose in the php file. By using this asynchronous method, you can handle data passed from external file without stopping current running file.
