Hello i have read your post and also seen your form which you have share. there is once way to make this need to pass success url of payment means user pay at paypal need to redirect to your wp site and have to pass post id to paypal so paypal will return that id so on success page we will able to get id and make post stick. Actually the function you are tying or talking about doesn't work the way you are looking but i believe i can do something here.
