We have a customer who is pointing a reverse proxy to our server, but the platform (Magento) is not working properly, have problems with ajax (cross-domains) and does not recognize the URL as their own, so it is in a redirect loop when using redirects

More information is needed about your configuration. What proxy? What is the configuration of the proxy and if Magento is a front end for only proxied connections or if it is also serving requests to web browsers as well.
