I have a team and would like to create a text based rpg with multiplayer elements in the style of Fallen London. In the simplest sense, I would need a client-server system with "energy" based turns and a stat based + random based story system. Twine seemed like it could be a good start but between it's lack of multiplayer, it's very strict style and it's lack of proper database features, there just isn't a good way to use it. If it is possible to fork some open source tool, that would be great. Otherwise, rolling our own is acceptable.
